AboutΒΆ
tethys is an open-source spatiotemporal downscaling model for global water demand, written in Python. tethys was built at the Joint Global Change Research Institute in order to:
Convert region-scale, annual water demand projections from the Global Change Analysis Model (GCAM) into a gridded monthly format suitable for use with global hydrologic models, and
Provide localized water demand projections across alternative futures, which are critical for understanding scarcity and planning for future need.
